Year after year, countless of aspirants compete for limited spots. To start your journey, you must handle the application process. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you apply smoothly.

Step 1: Visit the Official Website

To kickstart the process, visit the BPSC’s official website: www.bpsc.gov.bd. This is the sole portal for BCS exam announcements and applications. Be careful from unofficial websites.

Step 2: Download the Circular

Look for the latest BCS exam circular under the announcements section. The circular provides key information, such as qualifications needed, application deadlines, examination syllabus, and other critical instructions.

Step 3: Check Eligibility

Thoroughly review the eligibility criteria, which include age limits, educational qualifications, and citizenship requirements. The commonly required age limit is within the range of 21–30 years for general candidates, but age extensions may be considered for specific groups such as children of freedom fighters or disabled individuals.

Step 4: Register Online

Navigate to the online registration form (Form 1). Complete all mandatory fields, such as your personal information, academic qualifications, and job preferences. Cross-check for any mistakes. Providing invalid information can lead to cancellation.

Step 5: Upload Documents

You must upload a fresh copyright-sized photograph (300 pixels by 300 pixels, file size below 100 kilobytes max) and your signature (300 pixels by 80 pixels, file size below 60 kilobytes max). Confirm these meet the specifications mentioned in the circular.

Step 6: Pay the Application Fee

After completing the form submission, you will be sent a User ID. Use this ID to submit the application fee through Teletalk SMS services. The fee is usually BDT 700 for general candidates and 100 BDT for others. Follow the procedure provided in the circular.

Step 7: Confirm Submission

Once the fee is paid, you will be provided with a confirmation SMS with a Transaction ID. Keep this ID for future reference. Return to the application portal to confirm the payment status.

Final Tips

Complete your application well before the deadline to prevent last-minute errors.

Print a copy of the finalized document for future use, such as for obtaining the admit card.

By following these steps, you can register without hassle for the BCS exam and get one step nearer your aspiration in the Bangladesh Civil Service. Wishing you success!
